Achari Fish Tikka

Grilled Fish cubes marinated in pickling spices.

Preparation time: 20 minutes + Marinating Time
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Boneless fish cut into 1” cubes
2tbsp oil
2 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp black mustard seeds
½ tsp fenugreek seeds
½ tsp nigella seeds
1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 chopped green chillies
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp kashmiri mirch powder
1tsp mix veg pickle
1tsp vinegar
tbs1/4 cup hung curd
salt to taste
Method:
On a medium hot tawa, broil the fennel, fenugreek, nigella and cumin seeds till lightly fragrant. Grind to a coarse powder.
Mix together the hung curd, mustard oil, turmeric powder, garlic and ginger paste, powdered spices, red chili powder,salt, vinegar and mashed mixed veg pickle.
Marinate the fish cubes in the mixture for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Arrange the marinated fish on skewers and grill in a hot tandoor or grill till cooked (approx. 10-12 minutes).
Serve with onion rings and lemon wedges.
