Cottage cheese cubes cooked with capsicum, onion and tomato dices in a tomato sauce flavored with a freshly pounded spice mix.

Preparation time:30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Recipe Ingredients:
200g Paneer
1 small Onion, diced
1 small onion, fine chopped
2 medium Tomato
1 Capsicum
3tbsp Tomato puree
1tsp Ginger chopped
1tsp Ginger Garlic paste
2 Green chilies chopped
Salt to taste
2tbsp Oil
2tsp Kadhai masala
1tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
For the Kadhai masala:
1tsp Black Pepper corns
2tsp Coriander seeds
1tsp Jeera
4 dried Red Chilies
1tsp Kasoori Methi
Dry roast all the spices till fragrant and cool. Grind to a coarse powder.
Cut the paneer/chicken into 1” cubes. Cut the capsicum into dices and deseed.
Cut 1 tomato into dices and deseed. Finely chop the second tomato. Finely chop the
Heat the Olive oil in a pan. Add the onions and saute. till light golden in color. Add
the chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, ginger garlic paste and saute. for a
minute. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder and saute.
for a few seconds. Add 2tbsp water and cook till the oil surfaces. Add the tomato
puree and 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Add the paneer/chicken pieces, capsicum
dices and simmer covered for 4-5 minutes. Add the tomato dices and kadhai masala
and mix well. Cook till the oil surfaces. Serve hot with naan or misi roti.
