Kaju Tacos

A fancy Diwali Sweet with an interesting Cashew & Milk chocolate Stuffing.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Ingredients:

  • 150 grams cashew nut powder
  • ½ tsp saffron soaked in 1tsp warm milk
  • few drops saffron colour
  • 2 – 3 drops rose essence
  • ½ cup water
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 100 grams, crushed paneer
  • 1 tablespoon cashew nut powder
  • 3 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 100 grams white chocolate
  • a pinch of Orange food grade colour (optional)
  • multi colored Sprinklers

Method:

  1. Mash the paneer very well with your palm to make a smooth dough.
  2. Add cashew nut powder and mix well.
  3. In a pan, heat the condensed milk, white chocolate and stir continuously. As the chocolate melts, add the cashew powder & paneer mixture. Add the colour and mix well.
  4. Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
  5. Heat a pan, add water, sugar and let it boil till the two-thread consistency.
  6. Turn off the flame and add soaked saffron water and saffron colour.
  7. Add the cashew nut powder, mix vigorously till you get the dough like consistency.
  8. Place the dough on a sheet of butter paper and roll out to the desired thickness.
  9. Cut the rolled-out dough into circles with the cookie cutter.
  10. Place a teaspoon of the stuffing, Gently shape each circle in to a half moon.
  11. Cover the open end with coloured sprinklers to resemble taco toppings!
